Manager of IT Systems and Integrations

The Manager of IT Systems and Integrations is responsible for analyzing and directing all technology system, integration, and database activities of the organization with supervisory responsibilities for all staff assigned to the department. The position is accountable for ensuring continuity of IT services for systems throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination.


  • Collaborate with VP of IT in planning, managing, and overseeing the IT systems, databases and integrations of the organization.
  • Knowledgeable of all functions performed by and all products and services offered by the IT Systems and Integrations department.
  • Maintain optimum staffing levels to ensure a high quality of member service and department efficiency.
  • Ensure Business Continuity plans are established, maintained and tested for the IT systems, databases and integration functions of the credit union.
  • Responsible for the ongoing evaluation and administration of service provider contracts.
  • Perform vendor due diligence related to department on proposed and current solutions.
  • Prioritize technology initiatives and coordinate the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies related to IT systems, databases and integrations.
  • Partner with the Manager of IT Security and other IT Managers to ensure PCI and other compliance requirements are upheld.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team on special projects, including research, preparation and distribution of reports and follow-up.
  • Strategically research new products and services and initiate change by including team members in the development and implementation of systems and operational procedures.
  • Lead overall cloud strategy for the organization in partnership with other IT Managers.
  • Assist all departments with procedural changes and questions regarding the operation of information technology systems, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes when appropriate.
  • Ensure documentation of all applications, processes and procedures, and supporting evidence to meet compliance requirements is maintained by department.
  • Knowledgeable of all policies, procedures, laws and regulations affecting the operation of the department. Maintain policies and procedures affecting the operation of the department and any impacted areas of the organization.
  • Evaluate processing needs and make recommendations on installation and implementation of systems and peripherals. Install and implement new features and systems changes.
  • Ensure support requests are handled in a timely fashion through ongoing evaluation of tickets assigned to team members.
  • Create, review and maintain a technology roadmap in partnership with other IT Managers and the VP of IT on regular basis in order to keep focus on the future needs of our organization.
  • Prepare and maintain annual department budgets.
  • On call availability required for system support as needed (including nights and weekends).
  • Serve as an escalation point for team members and organizational IT related needs.
  • Provide on-going coaching to all team members that encourages personal, professional and career development. Clearly define expectations of all team members.
  • Interview and hire the most qualified applicant for position openings. Provide initial orientation and on-going support to team members on the mission, vision, values and leadership culture of the organization.
  • Plan and prepare for the future by being open minded, perceptive, and proactive. Make decisions that support the members, the department and the organization as a whole both financially and strategically.
