How you can make a difference

The Financial Crimes Program Sr Manager, in partnership with their leadership, helps set and manage the strategic direction of HealthEquity's Financial Crimes program. This role is responsible for providing strategic direction for a collection of initiatives, products and processes within the financial crimes portfolio covering third-party fraud, internal fraud and money laundering. This position will execute, enhance, and maintain the Financial Crimes program to ensure HealthEquity's business needs and priorities are met. This position will also be responsible for creating and managing business relationships both internal and external, including vendor partners.

What you'll be doing

    Help set department/portfolio vision and direction in coordination with Financial Crimes leadership, the stakeholder community and IT partners; motivate and manage staff to achieve agreed upon results; deliver project/program value within set parameters and timelines
  • Manage key projects and initiatives related to assessing and mitigating the HealthEquity's exposure to financial crimes and money laundrering.
  • Partner with stakeholders to collaboratively design and develop system and process features.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve issues such as product ownership, dependencies, and prioritization
  • Establish strong relationships with key business and technology stakeholders; influence senior leaders and all levels of business and IT staff involved with the product portfolio
  • Develop, enhance and deliver program reporting to include narratives and visualizations, both qualitative and quantitative, regarding initiative progress and ongoing financial crimes performance.
  • Formulate and execute process and organizational improvement, direction, and programs to enhance overall effectiveness
  • Report out to and influence Senior Leadership Team (SLT) stakeholders to help establish informed organizational and business decisions
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and evaluate fraud detection tools to ensure best-in-class solutions are in place.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science Business or related field. Equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience my substitute for degree(s).
  • 10 to 12+ years of relevant experience in financial crimes, including project management.
  • Ability to strategically plan and prioritize across potentially conflicting goals: loss reduction, consumer satisfaction, employer satisfaction, cost control, appropriate incentives, complex federal and state regulations, and operational constraints.
  • Strong knowledge of financial fraud dynamics and the technologies and tactics used to manage fraud risk.
  • Strong understanding of fraud detection systems and decision engines and the vendor landscape that provides these solutions.
  • Excellent vendor management skills.
  • General knowledge of AML regulatory requirements and expectations
  • Strong time management and planning skills. Ability to strategically plan and prioritize across potentially conflicting goals.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in supporting audit and regulatory inquiries and interactions with senior management, and consultants
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analytic approaches
  • Experience creating and managing complex development projects in a highly dynamic environment
  • Experience leading large, complex cross-portfolio initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building and influencing
  • Extensive experience working with technical development and product teams in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with change management, and leading diverse teams to solve problems and pursue opportunities
  • Strong presentation skills a must.
  • Product Management Certification, a plus

Salary Range

$127000.00 To $165,000.00 / year

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
