The basics of this position:

The Radiologic Technology program at STLCC is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve on the Florissant Valley campus. This position is a full-time faculty, continuing position, set to begin in Spring 2025. The new hire and assigned rank will depend on the candidate's qualifications and teaching experience. The new Radiologic Technology faculty member will be expected to teach, mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the Radiologic Technology program, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Radiologic Technology Chair to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of radiography to the community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes and a commitment to classroom assessment.

What you'll do:



  • Preparation and planning for lecture and laboratory instruction in the assigned Radiologic Technology program courses in accordance with course objectives and learning outcomes.
    Prepare and correct examinations and other student work assignments.
    Schedule student conferences to review individual student progress.
    Facilitate student training in the clinical setting.
    Assist in student academic advisement.
    Participation in the departmental selection of course texts, instructional equipment, library books, and non-print resource materials.
    Evaluation and revision of the program curriculum and learning outcomes.
    Oversee ongoing program accreditation and assessment processes.
    Participate in budget planning.
    Assume the leadership role in the continued development of the program.
    Seek opportunities to serve on division, campus, and college-wide committees.
    Assist in student recruitment and community activities.
    Plan and attend faculty meetings and institutional ceremonies or meetings.


Education, experience, and other requirements:

Minimum Master's degree in a related field.
Minimum of two years' of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
Minimum of three years' clinical experience in professional discipline.
Current ARRT registration in radiography.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field.
Minimum of two years' of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
Minimum of three years' clinical experience in professional discipline.
Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.
ARRT certified in multiple modalities.
