What We Need:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Account Reporting & Analytics, the Business Analyst is a key member of larger dynamic team responsible for all BCBSMA Account reporting needs. The analyst is responsible for a variety of customer facing activities including the set-up and support of Stop Loss reporting, the set-up of large data files for external customers, the oversight of user access of the BlueInsights reporting tool including adding new and maintaining existing users, and running other ad hoc cost & use reporting for our Accounts. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the end-to-end process of these key reporting offerings, identifying process improvements, performing analysis of the reports, and providing input for setting and maintaining a high level of service.

A critical frontline role that supports both Sales and external customers with questions and requests related to our Stop Loss product and reporting, as well as, the BlueInsights reporting tool. The Analyst will function as a key point of contact for customers such as accounts, sales, brokers, consultant, third party vendors and Stop loss carriers which requires a high level of professionalism and customer service in fast paced environment.

The Analyst is responsible for documenting processes and business requirements for changes needed, working with our vendors, Enterprise Technology associates, sales AE's and AM's, Account Service Consultants and Underwriting to discuss issues and opportunities for improvements, testing and support of changes.

Your Day to Day

  • Set-up, develop and maintain financial reporting to support our Stop Loss reinsurance products. Stop Loss reporting is supported within our BlueInsights reporting tool and Connexure (DY Consulting) stop loss system that you will be trained on.
  • You will run, download and provide various standard reporting from BlueInsights
  • You will oversee the monthly updates and maintenance of the Stop Loss tracking systems (Connexure) and their supporting databases that produce the monthly reporting for our internal and external stop loss customers.
  • You will be the key point of contact and represent BCBSMA, for customers such as accounts, sales, brokers, consultants and Stop loss carriers and will correspond via email or live discussions.
  • Manage all requests for data extract files. This includes reviewing data layouts with the account reporting analyst and setting up all SFTP folders through our corporate provisioning team.
  • Manage all BlueInsights password resets between external customers, Sales, and our vendor.
  • Manage the BlueInsights email Inbox requests from Sales
  • Act as liaison with internal teams including Underwriting, Enterprise Technology and Sales, as well as external (vendor) teams to deliver requirements, specifications, and definitions required to support reporting.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system issues and develops recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Stop Loss overviews and training consultation pertaining to Stop Loss reporting for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are adhered to for access to online data and reporting.

We're Looking For:

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry/delivery systems and understanding of the Sales organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill.
  • Ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Well organized and able to focus on multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate on a small team
  • Customer focused to work with team, intermediaries/business partners, sales and other internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in personal computer and desktop applications.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years financial analysis and/or reporting preferred

High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above

LocationBoston, Hingham Time TypeFull time Salary Range: $68,850.00 - $84,150.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
