The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor to practice and teach in our Northwestern McGaw Family Medicine Delnor Residency Clinic and at Northwestern Delnor Hospital both located in Geneva, Illinois.

The position is responsible for the following:

-Administers and maintains an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) competency areas.

-Precepts residents in the Family Medicine Practice (FMP) at a ratio of 4 residents: 1 faculty member.

-Regularly leads and participates in organized clinical discussions, didactic sessions, teaching rounds, and conferences.

-Participates in the recruitment of new residents, including the coordination of the applicant screening and selection processes.

-Participates in the evaluation of all residents, including formal and informal performance evaluations and solicitation of feedback from appropriate attending staff.

-Will assist the program director with tracking, monitoring, and presenting issues related to resident training to the department quality management committee, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and the Internal Review Committee as required by ACGME, McGaw and Northwestern Memorial Healthcare.

-Clinical practice exclusive of the residency program as well as Inpatient practice.

Qualified candidates will have their MD or DO and will be board certified/board eligible in family medicine with an interest in full scope family medicine including obstetrics, inpatient, and outpatient practice.
