Job Summary:

The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a neuro-oncologist interested in pursuing a BC/BE.

The successful candidate would be involved in clinical and translational neuro-oncology research providing exceptional options for patients to participate in clinical trials, neural genomics, and precision medicine. Person would participate in clinical research conducted in the UW Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center (UWCCC).

Responsibilities:

This position involves clinical care, research and/or teaching. Duties include approximately 60% direct patient care at UW Health's main campus, including ambulatory, inpatient and consult service attending; proactively supporting efforts to improve diversity in clinical trial participants; 30-40% protected time to develop a research or education program and to engage in related scholarly activity. Teaching responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents and fellows, mentoring graduate students and trainees, and teaching continuing education programs for physicians and the public. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank.

Clinical and research interest in primary and metastatic CNS tumors required.

Must be fellowship trained in neuro-oncology. Must have a WI medical license by the time of appointment. Must be ABPN or AOBNP board eligible or certified in Neurology.

For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.

For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

The Department of Neurology has over 60 faculty and 25 advanced practice providers located at 20 S. Park and University of Wisconsin Hospitals and UW Health Clinics. This position will be a dual appointment with UW Madison and UW Medical Foundation.
