Watch Our Story:' https://www.hdrinc.com/our-story' The primary responsibility of the Transportation Architecture Principal is for strategic vision, leadership, inspiration, quality assurance, and financial success of the Los Angeles Transportation Architecture practice. We are seeking an experienced leader with focus on strategic growth and profitability of the practice to drive our annual plan. Candidates with relevant transport agency building design and project management experience with Aviation, Transit (all modes), Transit Oriented Development will be given serious consideration. The Transportation Architecture Principal must also have an established reputation evident through design awards, publications, education or other venues, and positive client references. Skills sets for this position include the ability to lead and build an architectural program in Los Angeles as well as to support program development and projects across Southern California, including strategic planning, and business development efforts, while guiding initial design concepts and ideas from pursuit and selection through successful project completion on multiple project types, especially those with high degrees of complexity. This individual will increase the awareness and market presence of HDR's transport architectural practice while contributing to the reputation of the firm, and will support select initiatives in the United States and Canada. In summary, this position seeks an architectural practice leader, who must have the vision and attitude to lead the Los Angeles Transport Architecture practice and lead collaboration with multiple HDR offices as well as outside subconsultant offices as needed, while effectively partnering with office and project management, and discipline leaders on all efforts. Must be active in local, national or international professional design related organizations related to Architecture and Transportation. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture A minimum of 15 years' experience in Transportation and Architecture Ability to obtain Architectural Registration in California Knowledge of current trends and experience with large, complex projects Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills Experience with CAD platforms, BIM and visualization tools Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) Proven track record of supporting practice growth, including winning project pursuits. The expected compensation range for this position is $148,120 to $211,600 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. .Primary Location
