And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward. Primary Responsibilities In the role of Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Use Bentley's Open Roads Designer software to support development of construction drawings or other CAD/BIM products under the direction of more experienced team members.
- Follow project design standards and requirements associated with Federal Coastal Storm Risk Management Project
- Be capable of multi-discipline coordination with geotechnical, hydraulic, structural and coastal engineers
- Perform quantity calculations
- Prepare specifications and contract documents
- Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in general Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering such as InRoads, Siteworks, Hecras, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years' experience being responsible for civil design teams
- Experience in Bentley or AutoDesk drafting platforms and associated vertical applications such as Geopak, Inroads, OpenRoads Designer, or Civil 3D
- Experience with Civil Engineering design (including management of survey and utility data, coordination with GIS data sources, creation of surfaces, performance of earthwork grading, or performance of quantity take-offs)
- Good technical writing skills
