Primary Responsibilities

HDR seeks an experienced environmental planner to grow and support our Environmental Services practice in the Water Resources market. The successful candidate for this position will have applied experience in environmental analysis, particularly with task management, monitoring progress and workflow, quality control, establishing schedules and preparation of transportation National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation. This person will be expected to lead environmental planning tasks and projects, assign tasks and work collaboratively with resource specialists and engineering teams to develop and screen project alternatives and prepare technical reports. Experience working on and leading large water resources environmental planning projects in the West and Rocky Mountains region is preferred, as are established relationships in the industry and region with federal and state agencies, local municipalities, and water districts.
