HDR is seeking a highly motivated Power Electrical Designer in our power generation electrical/control group. This individual will be a key member of HDR's rapidly growing engineering team and will work under senior engineers to support the following: In the role of Power Electrical Designer, we'll count on you to: Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other software Preparation of design calculations including voltage drop, cable sizing, grounding cable fill, ductbank and other electrical components. Preparation of specifications and contract documents Coordination with other disciplines as necessary Work closely with other project team members on multidiscipline projects Preferred Qualifications Working level skills in AutoCad and Microstation Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments Required Qualifications Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported Proficient with Microsoft Office Good verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
