- Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
- Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of transportation and water projects for federal, state and local municipalities
- Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation and presentations. Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation. Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies
- Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
- Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with HEC-RAS and other hydraulic modeling software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Proficientwith MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience withcivil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or AutodeskInfraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) asrequired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
