Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist
Be the backbone of our surgical team! Ready to bring your skills to the OR and help make a real difference in patient care? As an Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), you'll be at the heart of each procedure, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. Your expertise will ensure that surgeons have everything they need to provide top-tier care, all while keeping things sterile, safe, and efficient. If you love being in the action, solving problems on the fly, and making a real impact, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare the tools of the trade: Get surgical instruments and equipment ready and sterile, so the team is all set to go. Ensure patient safety and surgical success: Maintain the sterile field and follow strict aseptic techniques, making sure everything is in its place and ready for action. Anticipate the surgeon's next move: You'll be the trusted partner, always one step ahead to ensure things go smoothly during the procedure. Adapt to the unexpected: Surgeons and patients can throw curveballs, but you'll be there with quick thinking, flexibility, and a calm demeanor to handle it all. Mentor and guide: Share your knowledge and expertise with new surgical technologists, helping them navigate their orientation and grow within the team. Stay versatile: With experience in a wide variety of procedures, you'll adapt quickly to any situation, ready to jump in wherever you're needed.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Certification must be kept active during employment. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (and you'll need to keep it current too!). Successful completion of OR department orientation and skills competency tests. Physical stamina: You'll be on your feet a lot, sometimes wearing a 10 lb. x-ray apron for hours, and you should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong communication skills: You'll need to be able to clearly communicate with the team, patients, and other staff. Calm under pressure: The OR can be intense - flexibility, problem-solving, and staying focused under stress are key. Good time management: You'll need to juggle a variety of tasks, so being organized and self-motivated is a must.
Why You'll Love This Role:
Your work matters: You'll be making a tangible difference in patients' lives by ensuring every procedure is smooth, safe, and effective. Collaborative team environment: Work with a supportive team that values your input and expertise. Variety is the spice of life: With so many different procedures, you'll always be learning and adapting, never bored. Opportunity to grow: Share your knowledge with new team members and build your skills as you go.
If you're ready to dive into an exciting and rewarding role where no two days are the same, we'd love for you to join our team! Apply today and help us keep our OR running smoothly, with precision and care!
