POSITION SUMMARY We are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer I that will support the North America Airports Solutions team. Vanderlande's Airports Engineering Team is responsible for the concepting, designing, and specifying material handling equipment. In this position you will work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative customer-focused environment to determine and translate customer needs into simple and effective design solutions. In this position, you will be working with an engineering project team in the development of baggage handling systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the designs meet the customer requirements, are coordinated with other trades to minimize conflicts during installation, can be installed with efficiency, and maintain excellent communication with the site team. Success in this role involves the ability to balance the technical requirements of the role while also having the soft skills to collaborate with and motivate the engineering team. It also involves working closely with stakeholders from other disciplines and other departments to balance priorities, improve processes and satisfy a complex set of goals. Success will require strong technical skills, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, drive, and passion. A successfully candidate will demonstrate a keen intuition for when to attempt to solve problems on their own and when to enlist the help of other experienced leaders. Responsibilities:
