About the Job

Summary of Position:
The candidate will be expected to perform state of the art NMR experiments with proteins and polysacchatides, analyze data, perform resonance assignments and structural calculations, and write reports and scientific publications. The candidate will work in a modern laboratory.

60% performing NMR experiments
30% analysis of NMR experiments
10% writing manuscripts

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Advanced degree and at least 1 year of experience in the field of NMR of carbohydrates and proteins and their structures, dynamics and interactions in the field of drug discovery.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 10 yrs experience in the field of NMR of carbohydrates and proteins and their structures, dynamics and interactions in the field of drug discovery.
Considerable number of publications in the NMR field of carbohydrates and proteins

BMBB:

The department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics is committed to understanding the molecular mechanisms of metabolic diseases and cancer; developing novel strategies in biocatalysis and biotechnology; and advancing knowledge through structural biology and molecular biophysics. We organize ourselves into research divisions with emphases on Chemical and Structural Biology, Metabolic and Systems Biology, Molecular Biology and Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology. We are housed in new buildings with state-of-the-art research and support facilities.
