Starting rate of pay: $ 31.05 per hour Shift differential $ 1.30 per hour for working 2nd or 3rd Shift GENERAL SUMMARY The Material Handling and Receiving position is a critical support function in the manufacturing of quality products that meet customer requirements and is a union position. This position reports to the Production Supervisor in the assigned work area. Material Handlers and Receivers are responsible for performing activities outlined below. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Preferred background in manufacturing of products. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Bending, reaching, handling, lifting and walking when performing tasks. Operating hoists, hand trucks, forklifts, bar code scanner. Minimal typing/data entry. WORKING CONDITIONS Handling and transporting materials and parts throughout the plant. Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including: ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses and other PPE depending on the task. Employees are expected to work with all third part visitors (e.g. vendors, inspectors, liaisons, auditors, visitors in a professional manner).
