A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Strategic Procurement Specialist within the Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Procurement Team, you will play a key role in developing and managing a competitive, transparent, and sustainable supply chain. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive productivity, quality, and digitalization.

You will be responsible for supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing to ensure the procurement function contributes to affordable and sustainable energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement commodity strategies and define local and regional material strategies for non-pooled commodities.
• Plan negotiations, define awarding strategies, and prepare sourcing board approvals while ensuring alignment with pooling opportunities.
• Negotiate local, regional, and multi-site contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Manage relationships with assigned suppliers, contribute to commodity strategies, and develop a preferred supplier list.
• Analyze market trends and leverage insights to optimize procurement strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance, report key data, and encourage early supplier participation in cost-reduction initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks while implementing strategic measures.
• Ensure contractual terms align with business requirements by collaborating with strategic commodity management teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management within a complex, global environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or CIPS qualification.
• Strong commercial, contractual, and project management skills.
• Excellent Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Experience working with a global supplier base in a matrix organization.

The Gas Services division focuses on low-emission power generation through services and decarbonization. Its portfolio includes gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, along with opportunities to support decarbonization through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization.
