Position Title: Warehouse Associate (Cycle Counting)
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday We are seeking a detail-oriented Cycle Counter to maintain inventory accuracy by performing physical counts, verifying product information, investigating discrepancies, and updating inventory records using warehouse systems and handheld scanners. The ideal candidate has strong math skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to safely operate an order picker while meeting physical demands in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is an opportunity for hire role in Lenexa, KS. Warehouse Associate (Cycle Counting) Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform cycle counts and recounts accurately throughout the shift - Verify item numbers, warehouse locations, quantities, and units of measure, including individual units, cases, and pallets - Use computers, handheld scanners, and the warehouse management system to enter counts and review inventory information - Identify and communicate discrepancies, misplaced products, damaged inventory, and labeling issues - Use problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and recognize when additional guidance is needed - Safely operate a cherry picker/order picker to access inventory at elevated locations - Maintain an organized work area and follow warehouse safety procedures - Crosstrain in other departments and provide coverage as workflow requires Warehouse Associate (Cycle Counting) Requirements: - Able to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more as needed, using appropriate equipment or assistance - Able to walk, stand, and sit as duties require throughout an 8-hour shift - Able to bend, reach, stoop, and handle products repeatedly - Strong attention to detail and consistent commitment to accuracy - Comfortable performing repetitive counting tasks for most or all of an 8-hour shift - Strong basic math skills and the ability to count confidently and distinguish between units, cases, and pallets - Comfortable using computers, entering data accurately, and learning warehouse software - Resourceful and willing to ask questions when uncertain - Able to read, write, and speak English fluently to follow instructions, document findings, and communicate with the team - Able to operate a cherry picker/order picker and work comfortably at heights, subject to required training and authorization QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
