Position Title: Metal Fabricator
Wage: $22.05/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm (Monday - Friday) We are hiring a Metal Fabricator/Welder for a manufacturing company in Grinnell, IA. This position is a great opportunity for someone with welding and machine operation experience who enjoys hands-on work. You will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal ductwork and fittings, operating specialized machinery, and performing MIG welding as needed. Metal Fabricator Responsibilities: - Operate specialized machinery to fabricate sheet metal ductwork and fittings - Perform MIG welding on galvanized and stainless steel materials - Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, roll formers, and shears - Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are fabricated accurately - Handle and move sheet metal and other materials throughout the workday - Lift, push, and carry materials as needed - Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Requirements for Metal Fabricator: - High school diploma or GED, or a commitment to obtaining a GED - Previous MIG welding experience with sheet metal, stainless steel, or galvanized steel - Prior experience operating fabrication equipment, such as press brakes, roll formers, and shears - Ability to read and interpret blueprints - Ability to read and understand English - Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 75 lbs - Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Grinnell, IA and have reliable transportation - Ability to work the scheduled hours and overtime as needed IND097 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
