Position Title: General Labor / Truck Loader
Wage: $18.50/hour Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours: 5:00am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday) Be part of something bigger. Responsibilities: - Perform basic materials handling, housekeeping and warehousing including the ability to calculate and document transactions on a daily basis - Load / unload trucks - Help lift and position materials for production - Pull cut pieces of foam off and slide over to the Wrapping Machine - Make packages based on quantities from labels - Foam pieces get sent through wrapping machine where film is applied to top and bottom, heat seal iron is used to seal the package, it is then labeled correctly - Complete paperwork in conjecture with Shipping Department - Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment - Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment Requirements: - Ability to perform work safely - Heavy lifting all day required, rolls are 50-110 pounds - Ability to use math and understand and calculate measurements, fractions and weight scales and document accordingly - Ability to use a tape measure - Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, request, and problems to fellow employees and supervisors on a one-to-one basis, as well as over the phone and in written form - Ability to work as part of a team - Excellent attendance - Steel toe shoes required QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
