Position Title: Assembly Operator
Wage: $17.07/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Assembly Operator at a company in Waukegan, IL. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! Assembly Operator Responsibilities: - Assemble blinds within established standards for quality and timeliness - Select blind off cart, following set procedures and established priority guidelines - Perform initial hand assembly of blind to allow for hanging, inspection and adjustment - Hang blind and perform initial inspection making sure parts fit together, adjust motor (if applicable), adjust clutch - Complete assembly process to include adding end caps, adjusting snap and setting stop - Perform testing of blind - quality tests, visual test, function/performance test (drops correctly, width, color, flaws in materials, function, etc.) - Prepare blind for packaging and shipment - pull blind up into stacked position; may bag or may put on cart for submission to other group for packaging/labeling and shipment Requirements for Assembly Operator: - Ability to visually inspect parts to identify correct parts and discern quality - Ability to work on feet for an 8-hour shift - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally - Ability to multi-task - Ability to make basic decisions concerning quality and parts identification IND019 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
