Position Title: Accountant
Wage: $56,000 - $72,000/year Shift: 1st Hours: Flexible during the work hours of 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. We are seeking an Accountant to join our client's team in Johnsburg, IL. This position will handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, assist with reconciliations and month end close processes, while serving as the primary backup for payroll administration. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite position working closely with others on the accounting team. Our client offers a strong benefits package and competitive compensation. Accountant Responsibilities: - Process vendor invoices and match purchase orders - Ensure accurate job cost coding and expense allocation - Maintain accurate vendor records and payment schedules - Prepare and submit progress billings - Monitor customer accounts and collections activity - Post and reconcile customer payments - Assist with resolving billing discrepancies - Serve as the backup payroll administrator using ADP - Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts - Investigate and resolve accounting variances - Support month-end close and financial reporting activities - Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed Requirements for Accountant: - Understanding of general accounting principles, including GAAP, debits, credits, and reconciliations -Construction accounting or trade industry experience required - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn specialized software systems - Experience with construction job costing a plus - Experience with ADP payroll software a plus IND345 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has the resources of a large company but the feel and personalized customer service of a small one.
