Position Title: Welder
Wage: $20.00 per hour Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm; 3:00pm-11:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great Welder position available at a company in Wentzville, WI. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and perform all-position welding on standard weldments and structures according to welding procedures. - Fit and position weldments with multiple parts, using fixtures and jigs where applicable; scribe, locate, and position parts when fixtures/jigs are not available. - Work from blueprints, drawings, process instructions, and job layouts. - Layout and inspect parts using inspection equipment such as tape measures, scales, calipers, height gauges, templates, squares, angle finders, protractors, and weld gauges. - Ensure proper alignment and quality of welded assemblies. Welder Requirements: - Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively. - Ability to stand and bend throughout the shift. - Ability to work 10-hour days, four days a week. - Ability to work in a hot environment. - Ability to read tape measures, calipers, and welding gauges. - Ability to read manufacturing blueprints, including weld symbols. - MIG welding experience or certification from a reputable welding school. - TIG welding, layout, and setup experience preferred but not required. - Experience with robotic welders is a plus but not required. - Fork truck experience is a plus (only after client training).
