Faculty Positions in Anesthesiology

The Greater Washington Anesthesia Network ( GWAN), an independent private-academic practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking to fill full-time faculty positions in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. GWAN provides anesthesia services for George Washington University Hospital and/or Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, which serves the District's population, primarily in Wards 7 and 8.

These non-tenure-track positions, expected to start as early as January 2027, will be filled at a rank (Instructor, Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent patient care, participating in administrative duties, teaching learners, and pursuing scholarly interests. Generalists and those with fellowship training and/or subspecialty expertise in Regional Anesthesiology & Acute Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine, Obstetric Anesthesiology, Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology and Transplant Anesthesia are invited to apply.

Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in Anesthesiology and license-eligible in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment.
