As Director of IT Data Center and Network Engineering, you'll shape the strategy behind our data center, cloud, network, and telecom environments while ensuring they can scale with the business. What you'll do In this role, you'll lead the teams and strategy responsible for Truliant's core infrastructure. You'll balance operational stability, security, scalability, and cost while advancing cloud-first capabilities and keeping technology aligned with business priorities. Day to day, you'll:
- Guide the design, deployment, and ongoing performance of data center, cloud, network, telecom, storage, compute, backup, LAN, SD-WAN, and related infrastructure.
- Build and develop high-performing engineering teams while overseeing staffing, coaching, priorities, delivery methods, and operational results.
- Partner with executives, business leaders, Risk, Legal, Vendor Management, and strategic sourcing to guide roadmaps, budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, governance, and disaster recovery readiness.
Beyond that, you'll identify opportunities to automate and simplify work, review operational and risk metrics, influence enterprise technology decisions, and serve as an escalation point when teams need a practical path forward. What you bring We're looking for a strategic, hands-on technology leader who can connect infrastructure decisions to business outcomes, communicate clearly with technical and executive audiences, and create an environment where teams can do their best work. This role is a great fit if you have: Required Experience:
- 8+ years of equivalent IT work experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in a related IT role within a medium-to-large enterprise, including on-premises infrastructure and outsourced or cloud services.
- 5+ years of experience in technology procurement and asset tracking.
- At least 1 year of experience in each of the following: application support for internally developed and third-party solutions; modern on-premises and cloud infrastructure planning and implementation; and hands-on software, hardware, and data management troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
- Lead infrastructure strategy, technical project implementation, and engineering delivery using waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches.
- Apply operational knowledge of SD-WAN, VPN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPSec, firewalls, routing, and switching.
- Apply operational knowledge of telephony technologies, including SIP, VoIP, SBC, unified communications, call processing, automated attendants, ACD queues, and skill assignments.
- Administer and manage licensing for VMware vCenter, vSphere ESXi, VMware Horizon VDI, and supporting products.
- Work with cloud computing protocols and standards across Azure, AWS, or GCP, and support infrastructure decisions spanning on-premises and cloud environments.
- Interpret technical documentation, research technology issues, analyze complex problems, and implement practical efficiency improvements.
- Manage budgets, capacity, vendors, contracts, risk considerations, and executive-level operational reporting.
- Communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing, and translate technical priorities for executives, department leaders, engineers, and business partners.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
