Job Description
General Purpose The Supervisor, Cardiopulmonary Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing, and Electrocardiography (EKG) services across Eaton and Ionia. The supervisor ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, provides direct oversight of caregivers, supports quality and patient satisfaction initiatives, maintains equipment and operational readiness, and assists with departmental financial stewardship. The position serves as the frontline operational leader for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and diagnostic services. Essentail Duties
- Responsible for creating a positive environment that promotes health and wellness for patients, families, providers and caregivers.
- Consistently exemplifies organizational values and service excellence expectations.
- Supervises the daily operations of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing and EKG services across Eaton and Ionia locations.
- Ensures compliance with departmental, organizational, CMS, AACVPR and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- is Responsible for hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance evaluations, timekeeping and corrective action.
- Coordinates staffing and coverage plans across multiple locations and service lines.
- Maintains oversight of equipment maintenance, calibration, readiness and safety.
- Monitors and reports quality, productivity, patient satisfaction and operational metrics.
- Provides training, competency validation and professional development opportunities for staff and students.
- Collaborates with providers and leadership to improve access, patient outcomes and service quality.
- Leads quality improvement initiatives and supports accreditation and survey readiness activities.
- Assists with development and management of departmental budgets and resource utilization.
- Reviews and updates departmental policies and procedures as necessary.
- Establishes effective communication with patients, providers, leaders and caregivers.
- Attends and leads meetings as required.
- Supports organizational initiatives and strategic goals.
- Serves as a role model for mission, vision and customer service standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
| General Requirements |
* BLS * ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire * Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or, ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist * AACVPR certification, preferred. |
| Work Experience |
* Minimum of three years of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, Respiratory Care, Cardiovascular Diagnostics, or a related cardiopulmonary setting * Prior lead, charge, supervisory or management experience preferred |
| Education |
* Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Respiratory Therapy or related field |
| Specialized Knowledge and Skills |
* Knowledge of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing, EKG services * Knowledge of regulatory standards, quality improvement, and EMR systems * Strong workforce management skills * Strong verbal and written communication. * Demonstrate the ability to lead, coach and develop a team |
