As a Server at Society 1854 located in the Omaha Marriott Downtown, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

* Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.

* Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.

* Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.

* Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.

* Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

* Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.

* Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.

* Address and resolve guest complaints.

What do you bring to the role?

* High school degree or equivalent preferred

* Must have high level of knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.

* One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.

* Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.

* Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.

* Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.

* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and have reliable transportation to and from work

* Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required. CPR certification and / or First Aid Training preferred.
