Join our team as a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician in Little Rock, AR! Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands and takes pride in creating a clean, well-kept community? We're looking for a reliable Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician to support Jesse Powell Towers, a 169-unit affordable housing community in Little Rock, AR. You'll play an important role in maintaining inviting outdoor spaces, taking care of basic maintenance needs, and working alongside the maintenance team to keep the property safe, clean, comfortable, and running smoothly throughout the year. What You'll Do:
Maintain the grounds to ensure the properties are attractive, safe, and well-kept, including picking up trash, debris, and maintaining parking lots. Complete light maintenance and corrective repairs in apartments and common areas, including basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, lock changes, and fixture replacements. Assist with apartment make-readies by cleaning, painting, and preparing units for new residents. Perform daily property walks to keep the property & grounds clean, safe, and looking sharp. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds. Maintain indoor areas by sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties. Support inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies and assist outside vendors as needed. Interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors while providing excellent customer service.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous maintenance & groundskeeping experience preferred. Ability to work Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday's from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general repairs. Ability to read and complete work orders and service requests accurately. Good communication skills, strong safety awareness, and a team-oriented mindset. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 30+ pounds and working both indoors and outdoors.
