Schedule: 1st Shift | 6 AM - 2:30 PM | Monday - Friday

Job Duties

• Overhead structure cleaning-about 30 feet above ground
• Fabrics cleaning-interior and exterior.
• Sweeps and scrubs floors.
• Outside grounds maintenance (sweeping and picking up debris).
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Maintain and update the Housekeeping Checklist accordingly
• Assist MRO Buyer with inventory and upkeep of the parts room, as needed

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to safely use common cleaning equipment, tools, and cleaning products.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently while following cleaning schedules and established procedures.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Dependable work habits and a commitment to maintaining clean, professional facilities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Scissor Lift and Boom Lift experience. (Internal certification will be provided)
• Must be able to work at elevated heights for long periods of time.
• Ability to follow directions and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning commercial, industrial, office, healthcare, educational, or manufacturing facilities is preferred.
• Experience operating floor care equipment, buffers, scrubbers, or other custodial equipment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemical usage, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and pride in their work are well positioned for success as a Overhead Porter.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely push, pull, and maneuver cleaning carts and equipment.
• Ability to work in a variety of indoor environments while following established safety procedures.
