Are you a hands-on problem solver with experience in hydraulics, fabrication, machining, and testing? We are seeking a Test Technician to join our engineering team and play a key role in developing, evaluating, and improving innovative products. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced testing equipment, prototype products, and cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
As a Test Technician, you will support product development and validation activities by performing testing, fabricating components, and maintaining test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform product testing according to established procedures and provide detailed results to engineering teams.
- Set up and operate servo-hydraulic testing equipment.
- Fabricate parts, fixtures, and components needed for testing activities.
- Record, document, and prepare test reports and data logs.
- Inspect and verify calibration status of testing equipment prior to use.
- Maintain hydraulic units, grease systems, fixtures, and testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged test fixtures and components.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and team members on product evaluation and development activities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Hydraulics
- Machine shop operations
- Fabrication
- Welding
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills
- Experience operating mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other machine shop equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and layouts.
- Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with testing equipment and laboratory environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with loads up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in a loud industrial setting.
