Universal Banker (Teller/New Accounts)

General Description:

The Branch Banking Specialist provides exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the branch. This position performs a combination of teller transactions and new account responsibilities, assisting customers with their everyday banking needs while identifying opportunities to strengthen customer relationships. Primary duties will be opening personal and commercial accounts, including CDs and IRAs. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining accuracy when handling cash, processing deposits, cashing checks, withdrawals, processing cash advances on credit cards, issuing cashiers' checks, issuing money orders, and ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service, cash-handling, retail, or banking experience preferred.

• Ability to work in a professional branch environment and interact with customers throughout the workday.
• Ability to remain standing or seated for extended periods depending on assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to perform routine computer and cash-handling functions.
• Ability to work scheduled branch hours and provide coverage as business needs require.
