SENIOR COURT ASSISTANT Washington County, located in West Bend, has an excellent opportunity as a Senior Court Assistant. Responsible for assisting the Clerk of Courts, Register in Probate, and Clerk of Juvenile Court in the discharge of their duties of the office by providing support services for the Circuit Court system Qualified candidates must possess:

Work Direction Received: Works under the routine supervision of the Register in Probate. Supervision Exercised: None. Decision Making: Decisions are made independently concerning scheduling of court hearings, responding to inquiries concerning the court system, processing and drafting of orders. Interaction: There is significant interaction with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, state, county, and local agencies, other County employees, judges and the general public. Essential Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of court practices and procedures, specific needs of court officials, statutes, rules and regulations affecting the office and general office practice and procedures. Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions, draft accurate documents and reports, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and interact effectively with co workers and the general public. Ability to fulfill physical demands of job, sensory demands (seeing and hearing), and cognitive demands (concentration, conceptualization, memorization).
