Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Information and Engineering Systems intern to support a variety of digital transformation, workflow optimization, and network infrastructure initiatives. This internship is ideal for a senior year student interested in business process analysis, lowcode application development, and emerging technologies. You will work closely with the Information and Engineering Systems team and crossfunctional partners to document processes, support system enhancements, and contribute to productivity and automation projects.

Job responsibilities:



  • Assist with process documentation, including mapping currentstate and futurestate workflows for Information & Engineering Systems initiatives.
  • Support requirements gathering for internal applications by translating user needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) by executing test scripts, documenting defects, validating updates, and confirming that delivered solutions meet business expectations.
  • Prepare materials, data, and analysis for reviews, daily standups, stakeholder meetings, and project updates.
  • Create and maintain system documentation such as user guides, training materials, process instructions, and knowledgebase content.
  • Collaborate with team members to support productivity, automation, and continuousimprovement efforts across the organization.
  • Assist with system monitoring and reporting to maintain stable operations.
  • Contribute to asset, configuration, and network documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support ticket triage by categorizing issues, gathering initial details, and routing requests to appropriate teams.
  • Help execute small infrastructure improvement tasks such as configuration updates, maintenance activities, and documentation enhancements.


Required Qualifications:



  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient coding skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, and SQL or related languages
  • Interest in business systems, process improvement, lowcode platforms, or AIenabled technologies
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, or other processmapping applications
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams

Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1 year of relevant experience, which may include coursework, class projects, internships, or parttime roles within manufacturing
