Electrical Engineer

Full-time | Engineering |Grayslake, IL

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll support the research, design, and development of our electrical products - primarily for material handling vehicles, with applications extending to related machinery such as aerial lifts and agricultural equipment. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop hardware- and software-based electronic devices

  • Analyze and define the circuit/system under examination

  • Create schematics and other drawings describing the unit under examination

  • Define inputs and outputs (voltage, current, waveforms)

  • Develop algorithms based on device input and output requirements

  • Develop embedded code using Assembly, C, and/or C++

  • Implement algorithms on programmed embedded devices

  • Select components based on electrical design principles

  • Design PC boards using EDA CAD software

  • Test prototypes to validate correct operation

  • Generate and release product technical documentation, including schematic diagrams, BOMs, PCB files, assembly instructions, and test procedures

  • Interface with manufacturing departments and external vendors to facilitate production of the design

  • Perform other duties as assigned

HOW TO SUCCEED / YOUR PROFILE

We're looking for someone who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems. To join us you need:

  • Four-year college or technical school degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency and understanding of electrical theory, embedded software theory, and PCB design practices

  • Experience in embedded C/C++ programming

  • Familiarity with electronics lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies

  • Proficiency with Google Mail/Docs/Sheets and Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint

  • Experience and proficiency using EDA CAD software is highly preferred.

  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions & Environment

  • Work is performed in a combination of warehouse and office environments, subject to seasonal temperature variation

  • Moderate noise level

  • Occasional lifting and moving of parts
