Manufacturing Operator

Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting mechanical parts using a variety of assembly equipment, fixtures and test equipment. They are critical to the production process, responsible for ensuring equipment runs efficiently, checking quality control, meeting production quotas, and following strict safety standards.

Nature of Duties:



  • Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Assemble parts or units and position, align and fasten units to assemblies, sub assemblies or frames using hand tools and power tools.
  • Connect cables, tubes and wiring according to specifications.
  • Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and venires.
  • Has the ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assemble sequences of electromechanically units..
  • Inspecting finished products and intermediate parts for defects, ensuring they meet company and industry specifications.
  • Strictly following all safety rules and procedures and adhering to OSHA standards
  • Recording production metrics, reporting hazardous conditions, and documenting any issues to supervisors.



Education and Experience:



  • A High School diploma or GED is usually required; associate's degrees or specialized trade certificates can be highly beneficial.
  • 4-6 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to stand or sit for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading may be required.


This position deals with ITAR facilities and applicants must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
