Lead Quality. Build Excellence. Develop Who's Next.

The best Quality Managers don't just enforce standards. They build high-performing teams, champion process excellence, and foster a culture that drives quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. At RK Industries, you will own our Quality Management System across our fabrication and manufacturing facilities, setting the gold standard for compliance, craftsmanship, precision, and operational execution.

You will lead the people, processes, and quality initiatives that ensure every fabricated product meets project-specific requirements, building codes, and industry accreditation standards. You'll have the opportunity to influence corporate strategy, lean manufacturing practices, workforce development, and operational performance while mentoring quality personnel and operational leads across the business.

And you won't do it alone. RK's integrated fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and building services capabilities provide resources, technology, and cross-functional support that many contractors simply can't match. This is an opportunity to leave a legacy, elevate corporate performance, and shape the future of quality excellence-not just manage another program.

What You'll Lead
  • Quality System Management: Implement, maintain, and continuously improve an ISO-level Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring corporate performance aligns with AISC, ASME, and key accreditation platforms.

  • Accreditation & Compliance: Maintain, renew, and document all corporate accreditations; guide teams through external agency audits.

  • Inspection & Testing: Direct inspection and testing operations using survey instruments, testing equipment, and QA/QC systems to verify level, elevation, and code compliance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Department Managers, Operations Leaders, VDC, engineering, and project management teams to seamlessly transition work from design into production.

  • Quality Documentation & Reporting: Oversee quality records-including weld maps, daily photo logs, inspection reports, and testing records-and deliver written feedback to stakeholders.

  • Facility & Site Audits: Monitor fabrication plants and job sites to ensure full adherence to building codes, zoning regulations, and client specs.

  • Workforce Development & Training: Train, mentor, and prepare employees on installation practices, corporate processes, and compliance standards to build the next generation of quality leadership.

  • Process Excellence & Lean: Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to evaluate, adapt, and refine standards, driving continuous improvement across shop operations.

  • Safety & Accountability: Champion RK's world-class safety culture, holding teams accountable and empowering every employee to exercise stop-work authority.

What You Bring
  • Experience: 10+ years in manufacturing operations, including 5+ years in a senior quality or operations leadership role.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or Business Administration preferred (or equivalent experience).

  • Lean & Quality Expertise: 5+ years of Lean Manufacturing experience; Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a strong plus.

  • Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of ISO QMS, ASME, and AISC standards, blueprint reading, specification interpretation, weld maps, and QA testing procedures.

  • Financial & Operational Acumen: Proven P&L management experience with strong financial analysis, budgeting, and operational execution skills.

  • Leadership Style: Decisive, hands-on leader who drives accountability, operates with urgency, and excels at team development.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to present findings, align teams, and liaise with accrediting bodies.

Minimum Physical Requirements & Expectations
  • Work Environment: Office-based in the Denver Metro Area with regular walking, standing, and presence in shop/facility environments; occasional bending, reaching, or kneeling.

  • Travel & Attendance: Punctual attendance during core hours; reliable transportation required for commuting and local travel between corporate offices and job sites.

  • Vision & Communication: Close vision needed for blueprints and detailed technical work; clear verbal and written communication across in-person, phone, and virtual settings.
