Forklift Operator

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Experience Requirements

• Previous sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or 3PL environment preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks, material handling, and order fulfillment.
• Familiarity with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory tracking processes preferred.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow established safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to accurately track inventory, complete documentation, and maintain organized records.
• Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift.
• Continuous forklift operation during the workday.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.

Job Duties

• Operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, transport, stack, and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
• Move pallets from receiving docks to storage locations and designated staging areas.
• Load outbound shipments according to shipping schedules and customer requirements.
• Unload incoming freight and inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Pick, stage, organize, and prepare products for customer orders and shipment.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and maintain accuracy.
• Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation as required.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow OSHA standards, company policies, and all warehouse safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
