PROGRAM SPECIALIST

The Program Specialist II provides midlevel program coordination, project support, reporting, and fieldoffice administration for SSFM projects located on Maui. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic project environment, enjoys being embedded with field teams, and can independently manage program processes and communication from an onsite setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate daily program and project activities from the Maui project office
* Maintain tracking tools, project documentation, schedules, and field records
* Support project managers with reporting, deliverable monitoring, and client updates
* Analyze program data and prepare summaries or dashboards for leadership
* Draft communications, meeting notes, and project materials
* Identify workflow gaps or issues and recommend process improvements
* Liaise with subcontractors, field personnel, clients, and SSFM Honolulu HQ
* Support project procurement, onboarding, travel coordination, and field logistics
* Lead small tasks or operational improvements within the field office

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
* 4+ years experience in program coordination, project administration, or a related technical support role
* Experience in grant management, A/E project coordination, or environmental permitting is highly desirable
* Strong organization, independent work style, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project tracking systems
* Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
