Position Overview: This position is responsible for driving brand growth by developing innovative strategies, agile go-to-market plans, and executional excellence for the mascara segment across new launches and heritage businesses. As Brand Manager, your primary responsibility includes uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough, data-driven marketing and omnichannel communications. Other responsibilities include performing business and competitive analyses, media planning and spend review, financial/budget control, and integrating sustainable business practices. This role is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to accelerate growth for this innovative and dynamic category.

Key Job Responsibilities:

New Product Launches & Innovation:

  • Own and supervise the end-to-end go-to-market process and timelines across multiple launches, partnering closely with cross-functional teams (shopper, social, media, PR, R&D).
  • Collaborate with Creative to develop impactful launch materials, merchandising, and sampling.
  • Partner with Revenue Growth Management, Finance, and Sales (BBD) on new product pricing strategy and value analysis (VA) explorations.
  • Ensure integration of sustainable design principles in alignment with L'Oreal for the Future corporate commitments where applicable.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Drive research, analysis, category trends, and consumer insights to develop long-term franchise strategies.
  • Oversee plan development and contribute to the total eye category vision.
  • Own strategy for Sales and Trade planning.
  • Partner with the global team (DMI) to influence new product development based on portfolio competitive gaps and US consumer insights.
  • Partner with Finance to analyze franchise and product P&Ls to drive Gross Margin improvement.

Financial P&L, Forecasting & Agility:

  • Own the entire forecasting process (e.g., E10 cycles and Full Year numbers) and manage financial implications.
  • Ensure accuracy of all budgets and roll-up of total category financials with Finance.
  • Manage budget allocation efficiently across spending buckets and brand priorities.
  • Apply a test-and-learn mindset to optimize campaigns and reallocate investments dynamically based on real-time performance.

Promotions, Advertising & Media:

  • Collaborate with agency and internal partners to create breakthrough consumer communications across all touchpoints, from traditional media to advanced digital and data-driven activations.
  • Influence media recommendations and adapt/customize creative assets specifically for US consumer needs and media plans.
  • Leverage out-of-the-box thinking to drive high-impact media campaigns and marketing plans.

Team & People Management:

  • Foster collaboration within the team and across core partners (DMI, commercial, finance, etc.).
  • Effectively manage, train, and develop direct report(s) (if applicable), ensuring positive team morale and professional growth.

Education & Experience:

  • BA degree required.
  • 3-6 years of industry-related marketing work experience (consumer packaged goods or beauty).
  • Prior experience in Operational Marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire lifecycle.
  • Proven experience collaborating with R&D, product development, and cross-functional teams.
