Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer - 12V/48V

Location: Dearborn, MI

Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite

We are seeking an Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of 12V/48V low-voltage power systems for next-generation vehicle platforms.

• Support development of 12V/48V power distribution and electrical architectures
• Analyze, size, verify, and optimize low-voltage electrical systems
• Develop system and component-level requirements
• Support power management, electrical integration, and vehicle-level validation
• Apply ISO 26262 functional safety principles
• Work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of automotive 12V and/or 48V electrical systems experience
• Experience with power distribution, electrical architecture, power management, or low-voltage systems
• Systems Engineering experience within automotive/electrical systems
• Knowledge of ISO 26262
• Ability to work onsite in Dearborn 4 days per week

• MATLAB/Simulink
• CAN/LIN automotive communications
• Jama, Jira, or requirements management tools
• Experience with batteries, DC/DC converters, PDUs, fuses, relays, or related power components
