Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance activities to keep industrial equipment safe, functional, and efficient. This role supports preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while developing skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. The position requires hands-on experience with motors, conveyors, welding, and AC/DC electrical systems. The role is temporary with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including AC and DC systems.
• Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, and related production equipment.
• Perform welding and other mechanical repairs as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, drill presses, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and within established timeframes.
• Identify equipment issues and perform appropriate troubleshooting and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in training and demonstrate competency in industrial maintenance procedures.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing motors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
• Experience with AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
• Welding experience.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, drill presses, and other shop equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and workplace documents in English.
• Ability to use basic computer equipment and standard office tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to work safely around operating machinery and industrial equipment.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and perform physical maintenance tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stack, unstack, or carry materials as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• Monday - Friday schedule from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
• Work is performed in an operational industrial environment.
• Employee may be exposed to machinery and equipment hazards.
• Work may require prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting.
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled area.
