Engineering Co-ops support our business unit in Warren, MI. The position offers the opportunity to learn many aspects of an engineering and manufacturing organization. If you are looking for a way to accelerate your career and be part of a great company, this may be the opportunity for you.


MRO Engineering
* The Repair engineering team is responsible for developing and maintaining complex repair processes for aero engine components. A co-op will assist engineers with evaluating, quoting, and building work orders for parts needing repairs. They will see all aspects of the process, including milling, turning, fixturing, welding, heat treatment, EDM, non-destructive testing, assembly, deburr, and more. The Repair co-op is a hands-on role with heavy involvement in shop floor troubleshooting, and direct communication with major aero OEM customers such as Pratt Whitney, GE, and Rolls Royce.
The schedule is part-time to accommodate class schedules. It is not eligible for benefits. This position sits in Warren, MI and will report to the Overhaul Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
* Learn about the Company's capabilities, work with mentors, and be exposed to senior management through group and individual activities.
* Assist with projects/programs to meet business, customer, and manufacturing requirements.
* Coordinate new process techniques to improve job efficiencies.
* Create CAD models and production drawings using ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. Prepare Manufacturing Operation Sheets (MOS's) to clearly communicate process details to operators.
* Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations.

Job Requirements:
* Pursuing a Degree in a related field.
* Customer focused; demonstrate initiative; ability to identify problems and develop solutions
* Clear and concise verbal communication and written documentation skills; teamwork is essential; organizational skills
* The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools
* Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA
* Must be able to pass a federal DOT drug and alcohol test and comply with ongoing random testing. There is no exception for state-legal medical marijuana.
