Engineering Project Manager
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Temporary Assignment (through January 2027 with potential extension)
Travel: Approximately 25-35% throughout the Western U.S. and Canada

We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a high-performing technical project management team supporting major capital projects across manufacturing, life sciences, and healthcare environments.
In this role, you'll serve as an Owner's Representative, leading projects from concept through completion while partnering with engineering, operations, design teams, contractors, and business stakeholders to deliver complex facility improvements and new construction projects.

What You'll Be Working On
You'll manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including:
  • Greenfield and brownfield construction projects
  • Manufacturing facility upgrades and expansions
  • Office renovations and build-outs
  • HVAC, boiler, and mechanical infrastructure improvements
  • Capital projects ranging from approximately $10M-$50M
  • Facility modernization initiatives across multiple sites
What You'll Do
  • Lead construction projects from planning and design through execution and closeout
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and logic-based timelines
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular project status updates
  • Partner with procurement teams throughout the bid and contractor selection process
  • Manage project scope, schedule, quality, and budget while driving successful project delivery
  • Build collaborative relationships across technical and business teams
What Makes You a Great Fit
We're looking for professionals who bring:
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience managing projects from design through construction
  • Strong estimating and scheduling experience
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, boiler, or building infrastructure systems
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and external contractors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
Experience in the following industries is highly valued:
  • Manufacturing
  • Life Sciences
  • Medical Devices
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Industrial facilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD familiarity is a plus
Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule with approximately 2 days onsite in Palo Alto
  • Travel approximately 25-35% to project sites across the western United States and Canada

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of active Project Management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in working with large, fast paced program rollouts for the Health, Science & Manufacturing Industry.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Strong estimating skills, strong technical skills (Boiler & HVAC systems).
  • Aligning expectations and building collaborative teams is a must have skill.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of programs including Power Point as well as Microsoft Project.
  • Rudimentary AutoCAD skills.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Ability to travel 35-50% of the time nationally to visit sites where the Projects are being planned and executed.
