Provide support with the daily operations of the fabrication workshop by coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and production activities. This role helps ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules, quality requirements, and company procedures.

* Assist in planning and coordinating daily fabrication activities for welders, fitters, helpers, and material handlers.

* Monitor production progress and report status updates to the Workshop Supervisor.

* Ensure employees have the necessary drawings, materials, tools, and equipment to perform assigned tasks

* Support the implementation of production schedules and priorities.

* Track labor hours and productivity for ongoing projects.

* Coordinate material movements between fabrication, painting, storage, and shipping areas

* Verify that work is performed according to approved drawings, procedures, and quality requirements.

* Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify production delays, safety concerns, and housekeeping issues.

* Assist with workforce planning and manpower allocation based on project needs

* Support onboarding and training of new employees.

* Maintain production records, reports, and workshop documentation

* Escalate production, quality, or safety issues to the Workshop Supervisor.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.



Experience Requirements


  • Minimum 2 years of similar manufacturing, fabrication, production, or shop coordination experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and solve production-related issues
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience coordinating personnel, materials, or workflow preferred


Job Duties


  • Assist in coordinating daily activities for welders, fitters, helpers, and material handlers

  • Support production schedules and project priorities

  • Verify work meets quality standards, drawings, and procedures
  • Conduct daily shop walkthroughs to identify delays, safety concerns, and housekeeping issues
  • Assist with workforce planning and manpower allocation
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees
  • Maintain production records, reports, and documentation
  • Escalate production, quality, and safety concerns when necessary


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
