POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Dickinson Law invites applications from both entry-level and junior lateral candidates for a tenure-track faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor of Law), with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027, at our University Park, Pennsylvania location.

We are seeking candidates to annually teach Contracts and Sales alongside two courses of their scholarly interest and our institutional need.Candidates may bring a wide range of qualifications, including relevant teaching or practice experience, judicial clerkships at any level, interdisciplinary scholarly work, or post-J.D. studies, degrees, or certificates.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Produce high-quality scholarly research in the field of law,
  • Teach law courses and demonstrate excellence in the classroom,
  • Supervise and mentor student research assistants, and
  • Provide service to the law school, university, and broader professional community.

A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, impactful scholarship, and student mentorship is essential.

The position is based in University Park, PA. The University prioritizes regular on-site presence to support full engagement in the campus community. Full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty are expected to teach in-person and work on-site. Questions about work arrangements should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
