  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Perioperative Team and under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse and/or an anesthesiologist assists inthe delivery of patientcare to the surgical patients in a safe and organized manner.This position provides registered nurses with support for the delivery of patient care.
  • Provides the anesthesiologist with support for the delivery of patient care in the various locations where anesthesia is provided.
  • This position will be responsible for maintaining supplies and equipment; room turnover; terminal cleaning andprovidespatient transport and environmental service support as needed.
  • Provide patient transport throughout facility.
  • Environmental service support asneeded; includes but is not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash and medical waste removal and supply replenishment.
  • Room turnoverand terminal cleaning of rooms
  • Keep all equipment properly labeled, clean and in good repair and restocked as necessary.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Two years experience in a Perioperative Services Assistant position.
  • One year of experience in environmental service support.
