Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Material Handler is responsible for performing material deployment functions using the SAP computer system to ensure inventory accuracy and proper financial reporting. The responsibilities include compliance with all Smith & Nephew policies and procedures. The Material Handler will stand more than 50% of the shift and should be able to push, pull, and lift 40 lbs. alone and team lift 50+ lbs. The Material Handler will perform all associated responsibilities in accordance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. What will you be doing? General Profile: Stock materials as necessary in inventory and point-of-use locations Functional Knowledge: Develops skills to perform basic repetitive and manual activities in the job. Business Expertise: Understands own tasks and how they relate to others within team. Leadership: Has no supervisory responsibility. Problem Solving: Uses existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks. Interpersonal Skills: This position requires communication and working with others in team setting.
