Job Overview: The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) is designed specifically for the care of postoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. Our CTICU offers cardiac and patients who need more focused heart monitoring a special unit that is committed to patients and their families - providing comforting and healing care. To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing; be I.V. certified from an approved facility or complete the requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to the unit; hold a current American Heart Association BLS certification and current ACLS upon hire. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, a minimum of 2 years of critical care or recent/current telemetry experience is required, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a full-time 37.5-hour working week consisting of three 12.5-hour day shifts. The schedule 7P-8A with every other weekend and holiday rotations required.
