The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Assistant Coach, Softball to provide support to the Head Coach of the Softball Team in the areas of coaching, recruiting, academic monitoring, budget monitoring and overall player development.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Assistant Coach for Softball will provide support to the Head Coach of the Softball Team in all aspects of academic success, coaching, strength, and conditioning, recruiting, planning of practice, organization of team meetings and film study, scheduling and trip management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Will perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Coach or designee.
  • Assist with budget monitoring.
  • Work with campus community and the Athletic Department staff in the successful recruitment and registration process of student-athletes who are members of the Softball Team.
  • Assist in transportation for away games.
  • Set-up and break-down for home events.
  • Assist with equipment functionality and inventory control.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures is required.
