DFW Parts Manager Reports to: Fleet Maintenance Manager Department: Fleet Maintenance We strive to provide sustainable, accessible, and high-performing transit solutions. The Parts Manager reports directly to the local Fleet Maintenance Manager and serves as the primary custodian of the fleet's parts lifecycle, inventory integrity, and supply chain operations. This role bridges the gap between hands-on shop operations and financial accountability by maintaining precise stock levels, managing high-value inventory, and negotiating vendor terms. Working in tandem with the maintenance team, you will ensure vehicle availability and rapid turnaround times while maintaining a strict focus on inventory turnover, cost-per-mile optimization, and asset preservation. Position description: The Parts Manager leads all fleet parts, inventory, and procurement operations to ensure technicians have the right parts at the right time while maintaining strict financial controls. This role is responsible for vendor management, inventory accuracy, cost optimization, warranty administration, and compliance with safety and environmental standards to maximize fleet uptime and operational efficiency. Qualifications
Education and experience * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical, automotive, supply chain, or business education preferred. * Experience supporting commercial fleet, transit, municipal, dealership, or heavy-duty maintenance operations preferred.
