| Position Summary |
This role splits time between the Office of Instruction (
OVPI) and the Office of Service-Learning (
OSL), reporting jointly to OVPI's Director of Communications and the
OSL Director. The communications specialist plans, coordinates, writes, and edits a wide variety of content to promote the university's broader instructional and service-learning missions. Working closely with campus units, internal stakeholders, and other communications staff, this position coordinates content production and aligns messaging with the division's overall communications strategy.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Excellent writing and copyediting skills using AP style
- Can develop engaging stories aligned with the university's strategic plan
- Familiarity with photography/videography best practices (Experience in photography a plus)
- Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and maintain high attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, administration, and various external stakeholders
- Proficient in typical office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and website content management systems (e.g., WordPress)

Lead and support strategic communications planning for Office of Service-Learning initiatives in alignment with university and Public Service and Outreach priorities. Serve as the Office of Service-Learning representative on the
PSO Communications Team and collaborate with campus partners to develop and execute communications strategies. |
